What’s better than going to a bookstore and walking out of it with a bag of books like you were in a catwalk? What about waking up in the morning with a book mail waiting outside your door? Only the book dragons can relate.Today, I’m happy to share with you the books I got—and received for that matter—recently. May it be the books I got from NBS sale or giveaway prizes that I won (yAYYYYY!) from various amazing book bloggers.

NBS SUPER SUMMER SALE
Filipino bookworms must’ve had an empty wallet by now after all the amazing sales in the Philippines these past few months—NBS Super Summer Sale, NBS Cubao Book Blowout, NBS Warehouse Sale (National Bookstore should receive an honorary award for their good deed!!!), Powerbooks Clearance Sale and Big Bad Wolf Books. National Bookstore just announced that there’ll be another sale next month as I write this blog post actually (honorary award pls).
I was super happy because I had an extra money when all these booksales happened. Although I wasn’t able to visit all the sales, I’m still happy I got to buy discounted books! So here’s my haul from NBS Super Summer Sale 2019:
🌼 A Torch Against The Night by Sabaa Tahir | Hardbound | P151.50
🌼 Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor | Paperback | P99.00 (roughly)
🌼 The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson | Paperback | P99.75
🌼 Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab | Paperback | P91.00 (roughly)
🌼 This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab | Paperback | P151.50
I spent approximately P592.00 instead of P2,591.00! P1,999.00 is saved.
This is only the time I can freely buy a book without having to think twice because I can use that money for much more important things like school, y’know. That’s the reality for a broke high school student like me.
I don’t know what’s with my luck but I won quite a lot of bookish giveaways which is… utterly amazing. So so thankful to the angels who are hosting giveaways to give a book or two to other bookworms. Bless you!
This is one of the many books I got from giveaways. I’m currently reading this one and really enjoying it so far.Thank you so much to Rosie Brown (follow her bc she’s such an amazing person!!) for hosting a giveaway for this book. If it’s not for you I wouldn’t be able to get a chance to read this book!
If you think my luck is over the moon already then me too! Can you believe that I won this fantastic stack of books??? PROBABLY NO BUT GUESS WHAT I DID!
I won these from Fay @ Bibliophile Soprano’s #BDAM2018GA last October. I know she sent it late but I don’t really mind it that much since we have our own life to take care of. She even sent Love at First Sit, a romance class book, to compensate for the delay. SWEET!!!Thank you so much, Fay! 💛
I’ve been joining blog tours for months now and most of the time they only offer eARCs. So, imagine how thrilled I am when Bookworms Unite PH announced that they will be hosting a PH blog tour for one of my most anticipated 2019 releases, Patron Saints of Nothing!
Make sure you anticipate for the tour that will start on June 12 to June 22! Also there will be a twitter chat happening the same day as the closing at 8:00PM PHT. Hope to see you there!Thank you so much to Bookworms Unite PH, JM @ Book Freak Revelations and Penguin Random House International for making it possible.
