Hello from my side of the world!
One of my reading goals for 2019 is to read more diverse books and support POC authors. So, I got really happy when I saw the #YARC2019 on twitter and decided to join the fun without second thoughts.
There are a lot of amazing 2019 Asian releases that I just can’t wait to read. Each of those books deserve all the hype in the world. 💛
If you didn’t know, Year of the Asian Reading Challenge is a challenge where you’ll read books written by Asian authors, backlist or new. Also, it is hosted by these lovely book bloggers:
- Shealea @ Shut Up, Shealea
- CW @ The Quiet Pond
- Vicky @ Vicky Who Reads
- Lily @ Sprinkles of Dreams
You can visit their blogs for more information about the challenge.
This blog post will serve as my tracker that I will update from time to time with the books I’ve read along with my review link. Also, I’ve decided to aim for Indian Cobra which means reading 11-20 Asian books this year!
So far, here are the books I’ve read:
- The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
- Descendant of the Crane by Joan He
- The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
- Patron Saints of Nothing by Randy Ribay (review to come)
- Stronger Than A Bronze Dragon by Mary Fan
- My Fate According to the Butterfly by Gail D. Villanueva (review to come
- A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi
LET’S TALK!

Yay! Goodluck. I’ve read The Gilded Wolves too though as an ARC last year. Doesn’t count for this reading challenge. 🙂
